Hi Peter, Just found your channel - looking for some Jimi instruction. This one is excellent. There's some others I will be trying as well - all my favourites, Led Zep, Clapton, etc. It's a shame that it looks as though you have stopped doing videos, having not done any in a while. Thanks for your efforts here!

I've been playing the guitar since I was a little kid, but when it comes to solo rock, it was the hardest to access! It is the hardest music performed by any instrument, but also the best music! There is no film, spot or any event without rock music in the background

This is the first song I’m learning on my resonator. One thing I don’t understand is why the C chord is called the 4 chord and the D chord is called the 5 chord. Thanks for the lesson. I think I’ve got it!

Watched couple vids on this but urs wow has the perfect angle for helping me learn this, and also the way u help explain is brilliant thank u mate thank u buddy away to do this today love this solo never thought I'd manage it,as I cant use a plectrum only my thumb index and middle fingers as I'm use to playing mark knopfler style stuff but I wanna learn this stuff as it sounds brilliant the plectrum sounds amazing the harmonics and that tone it gives is absolutely breathtaking!! I no the em pentatonic scale blues scale well! Most minor scale major scales! But using a pick! I'm not very good with haha that is my downfall and that's were am going to find it difficult!! I was always use to playing 1 style with my fingers mark knopfler style as my uncle was a massive fan of his he was a great player himself before he past away? So I was use to playing country blues rock style without the plectrum but I wanna use one now and try so I can play both with or without.

Ya mon, just watched your lesson (first time) very cool! I've been wankin' on this ol' guitar for years, but only recently started taking it seriously and even more recently picked up a slide.. pretty fucking addictive I must say. I like your approach, good info on how to play, but you included the fun part by giving us a song to work on. Thanks again, I'm a big fan now.. Cheers, Dr. Fun

Kudos for using a Danelectro! It’s a pity it wasn’t a black and white 59 though! I think you’re missing a trick tho’ with that opening riff. You have the B string melody as 2nd fret- 3rd fret- 2nd fret- 3rd fret and open. But I hear a little slide from last 3rd fret to the 2nd and *then* open.
